Big Week for Big Marsh
May 22, 2015
Big news on Wednesday for Big Marsh: REI awarded the Friends of Big Marsh $30,000 for some of the phase 1 bike features and to develop a volunteer stewardship program for the site. That’s on top of an earlier commitment of $70,000 for Big Marsh to the Chicago Park District. Total, REI has put $100,000 into developing the park at Big Marsh.
Go tell REI thanks right now, and tag #bigmarsh!
We (Friends of Big Marsh) are committed to bring $2.5 million to the development of the park at Big Marsh. SRAM is bringing $500,000 to the campaign, REI is stepping up big—there is a lot of room for other partners! Contact Friends of Big Marsh treasurer,
